High Pressure

High-pressure water cleaning (Hydrojet) is an effective technique for removing scale from surfaces and pipes, which causes losses of storage capacity, flow or heat transfer in mining and industrial plants

 

  • A system is used that drives high-pressure water jets, with pressures ranging from 10,000 psi to 40,000 psi with flow rates ranging from 30 gpm to 200 gpm of work.
  • It guarantees the preservation of the environment by not generating pollution or using chemical agents.
  • Compared to traditional methods, high-pressure water jetting is faster, more effective and environmentally friendly.
  • In addition, it is possible to perform cuts with ultra-high pressure water (UHP) on any type of material, allowing the cutting of both soft materials such as foam, paper and wood, and hard metals such as steel, aluminum and granite, with high precision and finishing quality, all in a cold process.

Flushing

Flushing is a type of cleaning that removes contamination from the fluid present in the circuits, caused by various factors such as manufacturing, assembly, system sealing, and component wear.

Chemical cleaning

Dredging and separation of solids

Dredging is a solid separation technique in wet environments, which allows for the removal of solids of any type from the medium and their separation, as well as for inspecting the state of the bed and determining optimal repair and maintenance plans. 

 

  • Nexxo S.A. has developed this technology for both basic environments (applicable to Concentrator Plants or other industrial plants) and acidic environments (applicable to hydrometallurgical plants, for example). 
  • It allows the treatment of solids ranging from sludge at the bottom of ponds, reservoirs, and lagoons, to the recovery and transportation of pulp from mining plant operations for reprocessing, offering economic advantages and reducing production losses. 
  • Horizontal dredging, vertical dredging, or a combination of both can be carried out depending on the case and the operational needs of the client. 
  • Dredging is executed with maximum safety through remote-controlled systems, minimizing exposure to substances for our team and the client.

Decoking of ovens

The decoking process comprises a sequence of operations including the removal of gaseous and liquid products, cooling, drilling, and cutting of coke, specifically in equipment where coke is generated. In collaboration with our partner CR International, we offer a reliable and optimal solution for decoking.

Catalyst management

In partnership with CR International, we offer a comprehensive service, including the commissioning and maintenance of catalytic reactors, tanks, and towers, through a multidisciplinary team of technicians and specialists.

Decontamination of plants

Plant Decontamination is a service applicable to refineries, chemical plants, and others, aimed at ensuring the safe entry of personnel into the process equipment in the most efficient manner possible for maintenance and inspection tasks.

 

  • It allows personnel entry within a period of 12 to 18 hours. Ideally suited for plant shutdowns, reducing entry times and associated costs.
  • It eliminates iron pyrophoric sulfide (FeS), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), benzene, and other explosive gases (LEL).
  • Compatible with wastewater systems; non-hazardous; the chemistry is biodegradable, eliminating secondary treatment, transportation, and disposal costs.
  • Opening and entry without requiring assisted air and safety to begin inspection, repair, and hot work.

Inerting of ponds/tanks – Thickeners

We perform interior cleaning of tanks, both pre-operational and operational. Operational cleanings are carried out after a period of operation, where accumulated deposits affecting the efficiency and safety of critical equipment are removed.

 

  • This specialty encompasses the cleaning of all types of tanks and thickeners or clarifiers where operational beds, emergency unbanking, and effective cleaning of overflow channels can be performed.
  • Our service covers: water tanks, slurries, lime sludges, organic materials, non-metallic, soluble and insoluble materials, and tanks in the Oil & Gas sector (hydrocarbons).
  • Reduction of exposure to risk, particularly for tanks related to the treatment of hazardous substances.
  • These cleanings are essential to ensure the optimal performance of equipment and processes and to prevent bottlenecks or collapses in operation.

Pre-commissioning, Inspection and Requalification of pipelines and circuits

Ducts, which include a variety of types such as aqueducts, gas pipelines, and slurry pipelines, among others, are long, critical pipes in operation that serve specific functions according to their designation. They have diameters ranging from 6 inches to 40 inches or more and can reach lengths of up to 500 km. Cleaning and testing these ducts are crucial to ensure their optimal and safe functioning.

 

  • Pre-Operational Cleaning (At the end of construction): calibration, verification of circularity, cleaning according to specifications, hydrostatic or pneumatic testing with water and nitrogen filling respectively, pressurization and emptying, and drying if necessary.
  • Operational Cleaning: It is adapted according to the specific needs of each duct, such as the removal of marine growth in seawater aqueducts, mineral blockages in slurry pipelines, or oxidations in drinking water aqueducts, as well as limescale deposits, among others.
  • For inspections, we have Calibrating Pigs, Electronic Calipers, Thickness Measurement Pigs, and also options for pipes where the use of Pigs is not feasible.
  • We have extensive experience in the re-qualification of important ducts such as tailings pipelines and slurry pipelines using hydrostatic testing methodology, equipped with filling pumps and pressure-raising pumps.
